'Transformers: The Last Knight' news: King Arthur plot confirmed in new photos?

(Facebook/Transformers)The origins of the Autobots and Decepticons is hinted to be tied to King Arthur's story, which is believed to be part of the plot of "Transformers: The Last Knight."

There have been rumors suggesting that the upcoming movie "Transformers: The Last Knight" will also touch on King Arthur lore, and recent onset photos seem to confirm the rumors.

BBC shared photos taken while production is taking place on the Scottish Isle of Skye. One of the pictures shows actors in medieval garb aboard horses and a closer shot on one of the actors shows a better look at his clothes.

In the previous movie, the concept of "the Creator" was introduced. It has been revealed that the Transformers were made from an element called Transformium and that part of that is element is left on earth and the Seed.

At the end of the movie, Optimus Prime decides to bring the Seed to their creators and he sent them a message that he is coming for them. JoBlo has shared that the plot for the upcoming movie will include Optimus finding their planet Cybertron dead and learning that he has been responsible for the destruction.

He will then discover that an artifact found on Earth can bring the planet back to life so he goes back to look for it. Megatron, who has taken another form and has been upgraded, will still be one of the villains.

While it seemed odd at the time the article was published, it also stated that the artifact will be tied to the famous magician, Merlin. It is said that the great wizard's ability actually comes from a Transformer. Could the famous Excalibur sword be the artifact?

It has also been revealed that three new Transformers will be introduced, namely Cogman, Squeaks, and the Creator. Actor Anthony Hopkins, who has been confirmed to join the cast, is widely speculated to be the Creator.

Cogman is a Transformer with an English accent who turns into an Aston Martin and Squeaks is a worn-out Vespa.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" will premiere on June 23, 2017.
