'Vikings' season 4 spoilers: Ragnar to die in his battle with King Ecbert in episode 11

(Facebook/Vikings)Rumor has it that Ragnar will die in "Vikings" season 4 episode 11 as he faces King Ecbert anew.

After months of waiting and guessing, "Vikings" season 4B finally has an air date, and those who have been anticipating the historical fiction drama can expect its season 4 episode 11 to arrive on Nov. 30. However, rumor has it that Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) may die when the series returns as he faces a former nemesis anew.

According to reports, Ragnar will return to Kattegat after years of wandering following his defeat in Paris. As he has been away for quite a time, the Kattegat that he returns to is no longer familiar to him, and his sons have already grown up to be adults. Despite his sons being adults already, though, it is said that Ragnar will still spend some quality time with them, especially with Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen).

Apparently, Ragnar's sons are old enough to take over the responsibilities that were once upon his shoulders. However, in the upcoming season 4 episode 11, Ragnar will settle an unfinished business as he faces off with King Ecbert (Linus Roache) anew. Reportedly, the re-appearance of the character in the story is essential in making the events in the series extraordinary as a grand battle between him and Ragnar is expected to happen in season 4B of "Vikings."

Does this mean that Ragnar will die as rumors claiming that he will meet his demise when "Vikings" season 4B are loud? After all, in an interview with IGN last April, Fimmel revealed that "Vikings" season 4B is about the new generation of Vikings, and Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) will be the new leader.

"Everything's changed around him, including him. Changed for the worst... He doesn't know who to trust. The reasons is not what he thought he was doing it for. Everything that's occurring is not why he started doing these adventures. It's all for different reasons now — other people's reasons, not Ragnar's reasons. So he's lost the beauty. He feels like the beauty of it's all gone," Fimmel said in the interview as he hinted of what the viewers can expect from his Ragnar character in the upcoming season 4B of "Vikings."

Will Ragnar really die in his battle with King Ecbert? Find out when "Vikings" returns to History Channel for its season 4B beginning Nov. 30.
