'Vikings' season 4 return date, spoilers: Clive Standen denies rumors he's leaving the show; fans will see more of Rollo in Paris

Hollywood might be beckoning to "Vikings" stars Travis Fimmel and Clive Standen, but the two actors are staying put in the show that has made them household names — at least until the season ends.

"Vikings" season 4 started with fans bracing themselves for Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel) apparent death, as the actor reportedly wanted to focus more on his Hollywood career. Then, it seemed that the show would also lose another major character, Rollo, as Standen has been tapped to play the role of Bryan Mills in the TV adaptation of "Taken." But before the "Vikings" fandom could explode, Standen made clear that he has no plans of leaving the series anytime soon.

The 34-year-old British actor admitted to Digital Spy that he does have a dilemma, but describes it as the "happy problem" of being in two shows at once.

"I'm going to be doing 'Taken' until October time and I'm going to pick up and re-join the 'Vikings' team later on in season five," Standen explained. "I'm going straight from Toronto back to Dublin, so it's a good problem to have!"

The TV version of the popular Liam Neeson franchise is a prequel of sorts and will focus on Bryan Mills before he became the seasoned CIA agent with a particular set of skills.

Standen describes his character as a "one-man wrecking ball" that was on a path of destruction after tragedy struck his family. But the CIA found him and molded him to what he will eventually become.

While Standen' fans are no doubt happy at the idea that they will see him in another show, it also means that they will see him less in season 5. Luckily, "Vikings" creator Michael Hirst has no plans of letting Rollo go. As a matter of fact, the showrunner assured fans that they will see Rollo again in the second half of season 4.

"We do see Rollo again, absolutely," Hirst confirmed to TV Insider. "He's too good to lose."

"Vikings" season 4 will return to the History Channel later this year.
