The Irish-Canadian historical television series "Vikings" is returning on History channel for the show's fourth season. Already spoilers of what is to be expected for its return have surfaced and they come from none other than the cast and crew of the show themselves.

"Vikings" is a historical series inspired by the sagas of Rognar Lothbrok, a well-known hero widely known as a notorious scourge of England and France. The show follows his adventures as he rises to fame mostly brought upon by his successful raid of England. He eventually is proclaimed Kng of Denmark with Rollo, his brother and his wives together with his son and two wives.

So what is to expect from "Vikings" season four?

Hollywood Reporter got the chance to interview the creator of the show, Michael Hirst, and they asked him to share little details about the upcoming season of "Vikings." He revealed that the season would begin with a time jump of two years where we will witness an intense confrontation between Ragnar and Rollo marking the start of the brothers' rivalry.

Rollo will be overpowered by jealousy towards his brother, the then ally of the King will now be one of his rivals; meaning the King of Denmark will be facing a whole lot of new challenges in this season. It is also reported that the viewers will witness Ragnar be forced to save his tribe against his own brother.

During an interview with Travis Fimmel, the actor who plays the role of Rollo has stated that this season, his character will have a lot to prove. He said, "He's going to want to prove that this is what the gods meant and this is why he should be dancing naked on the sand. But the conflict now is at a much higher level, it has different sorts of ramifications too."

This intensified rivalry between Rognar and Rollo will be the main focus of almost the entire season of the show. It would also have a great impact on how the show's future story line goes.

"Vikings" season four will surely be more exciting now that the brother's rivalry deepens. So which of the brothers will you be rooting for?
