'Vikings' season 4B spoilers: Aslaug and Lagertha to challenge each other's supremacy in new episodes?

After the heart-stopping scenes in the conclusion of the first half of "Vikings" season 4, it was speculated that Ragnar (Travis Fimmel) will vacate his throne and will be succeeded by either two of his wives, Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) and Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick).
Although some viewers thought that Lagertha died in the midseason finale of "Vikings" season 4, Winnick confirmed that she is alive and well and will still be seen when the second half of the series' season 4 returns to History Channel, adding that "she will be in a different place in her life."
Apart from confirming the fate of her character, though, Winnick also teased an action-packed scene between her character and that of Sutherland.
"It's going to be a cat fight. The two power women go head to head. It's a really interesting scene because you don't expect what happens," Winnick said in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
With Winnick's statement, it is but inevitable for some fans now to assume that the fight will be about Ragnar's throne. However, if a previous report is to be the basis, the upcoming second half of "Vikings" season 4 will focus on the young blood of the show, and one of Ragnar's sons, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), will be the new leader of Kattegat, not Lagertha or Aslaug.
"When I was told we were going to introduce these new brothers and they're going to be older and it's going to revolve around this new generation and I'll be leading that, it was super exciting to see. I knew the scripts were only going to get more exciting for me because I love reading about the Vikings, because I think that's a history that we've lost. A lot of people don't know very much about how they lived, so that's exciting," said Ludwig in an interview with IGN last April.
Whatever will trigger the fight between Aslaug and Lagertha, fans can only guess at this point in time. Could it be that Aslaug and Lagertha will really battle for the throne, but none of them will end up getting it? Who will emerge the victor in their face-off? Will one of them die in their quest for supremacy?
