'Watch Dogs' PS4 and PS3 update launched: Includes screen patch, DLC fixes

PS4 and PS3 patches for Watch Dogs are now available, while a PC patch is coming soon.
Owners of PlayStation 4 have observed gaming issues and complained about missing items in the game.
To pick up the DLC patch, just go to PlayStation Store and proceed to Games and Add-ons.
The patch eradicates numerous mission-breaking bugs, updates the system to allow players to join one another's session in online mode, and fixes minor graphics glitches.
Watch Dogs was clearly pegged for console gaming rather than PCs, and this explains why patches and updates have been made immediately available for the PS4 and PS3.
Ubisoft came under fire after it failed to deliver the same stunning graphics of its demonstrations at E3 to the actual game, but now it appears that uncovered original graphics files of Watch Dogs can restore those visuals.
The unnamed modder behind the discovery has made some remedies in the downgrading of graphics across the board.
The Watch Dogs team addressed the issue on their official website and explained that the old render settings were deactivated to prevent deterioration of gameplay experience:
"The dev team is completely dedicated to getting the most out of each platform, so the notion that we would actively downgrade quality is contrary to everything we've set out to achieve. We test and optimize our games for each platform on which they're released, striving for the best possible quality."
Meanwhile, there is a possibility that the lead character Aiden Pearce will not be returning to the sequel of Watch Dogs.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot understands how Pearce can be a conflict-ridden figure and says:
"We knew it would be polarizing. Some people loved the characters and some didn't. It was difficult to please everybody with that character. Now, having seen the reaction, we know what we will do next to improve that."
Watch Dogs has set an outstanding 4 million in sales, a week after its launch, making it a new best-selling franchise.
