'Witches of East End' season 3 renewal news: petition reaches over 100k fans

Fans of the Lifetime series, Witches of East End, have made an online petition to save the show after being axed by the network.
Fans of Witches of East End are doing their best to get their favorite show back on the air with an online petition. As of the recent numbers, the petition has reached over 100 thousand signatures, clearly stating that a huge number of viewers want the show back on air.
Last November, Lifetime announced that they will not continue the production of the supernatural show because of a decline in ratings during season 2.
The petition states that fans want the show to be back for a third season, with all of them in high hopes after what happened to the show, Longmire. Longmire was picked up by Netflix after being cancelled by Lifetime, with a new season already in production.
"It seems that the present television programming is in need of quality. You know, good old fashioned television shows that the whole family can enjoy!" said the organizer of the petition, as reported by Digital Spy.
"The kind that you don't have to worry about if your teenagers or children watch. Yet, it's still something that adults also find entertaining. We have that type of amazing television programming in Witches of East End," continued the organizer in the online petition.
Fans of the supernatural series use the hashtag #RenewWitchesofEastEnd in their social media accounts to raise awareness about the demand of having the show back on air.
Witches of East End is not only popular among its viewers, but among celebrities as well. Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, Sarah Michelle Gellar, announced her support over the series. Holly Marie Combs and Shannen Doherty, stars of the famous show, Charmed, also expressed their support over the petition.
