WWE rumors 2016: Brock Lesnar to get a shot at Universal championship next year?
A failed drug test is not stopping the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) from continuously pushing Brock Lesnar, and now, a chance to become the Universal champion might be booked for him next year.

Following Lesnar's dominant return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), it was believed that the WWE was going to make him victorious at "SummerSlam" versus Randy Orton. But after he tested positive, some thought there could have been a change of plans and now "The Viper" is winning their match.
But now, it looks like the WWE is sticking with Lesnar at "SummerSlam" and the company is going to put him in a storyline in which he will challenge for the new Universal title in 2017.
According to a report by Cageside Seats, this will be done because Vince McMahon "wants to do whatever he can to get his money's worth out of Lesnar's contract."
The Universal title is going to be the main prize on "Monday Night Raw" and at "SummerSlam," Seth Rollins and Finn Bálor will be competing for it.
It has yet to be seen who will be the Universal champ by the time Lesnar is granted his title shot, but the match could possibly headline "Wrestlemania 33."
Since coming back to the WWE, Lesnar only competes in pay-per-view events. And if McMahon wants to get the best for his value, then putting "The Beast Incarnate" in "The Grandest Stage of Them All" is expected to work.
The last time Lesnar held a major title in the WWE was in 2015 when he was the world heavyweight champion.
At "Wrestlemania 31," Lesnar was defending the strap versus Roman Reigns, but during the match, Seth Rollins cashed in his Money in the Bank briefcase.
Rollins successfully walked away with the belt and faced Lesnar one more time before their feud ended.
