As the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) brand split nears, some wrestlers will have new gimmicks to make things more interesting, and one of them might be Sheamus. 

Currently, Sheamus is a heel who may just have finished a rivalry with Apollo Crews. Along with the feud coming to an end, his days of being a villain could also be over. 

According to RingsideNews.com, Sheamus, in a recent house show, played the role of a face. The match he participated in during the event was for the United States championship. With him competing against reigning champ Rusev were fellow challengers Cesaro, Sami Zayn, and Kalisto. 

The report mentioned that the WWE likes to "experiment" during house shows and Sheamus being a face in the title bout could lead to him again abandoning his heel persona. 

If ever a face turn is happening for Sheamus, it will not be the first time for him. Before going down with an injury in 2014 and having a hiatus, the Irish superstar was loved by fans. 

Sheamus' run as a face ended when he returned from injury last year. Besides the comeback, he debuted a new look which he sports until now.

Making Sheamus a face will surely capture the fans' interest since it presents various options for a new storyline. Also, it has been a long time since he was cheered for by the WWE Universe and the Celtic Warrior getting a positive pop from the crowd would be refreshing. 

Whatever the WWE plans for Sheamus, it will work since he has fine in-ring and mic skills. The goal now is to establish him as a legitimate competitor in the company. Some are still not seeing him as an elite superstar despite all the championships and feats he already achieved in his WWE career.
