Although 'Yo-Kai Watch' has one installment in the United States and Europe, it already has a part 2 and part 3 in Japan. Its second installment has surpassed "Pokemon Alpha Sapphire" and "Omega Red" in sales in 2014. Now, "Yo-Kai Watch 3" is scheduled for release in July with a revamped battle system and a new setting.

Trailers for "Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sushi" and "Tempura" have shown that the game will take place in the United States and in Japan. In the United States, the character is named Keita who hails from the city of St. Peanutsburg. In Japan, the character is Inaho Misora, who lives in Sakura New Town.

Aside from the new locale, the game will also introduce a new battle system where players will use sliding tiles instead of the traditional wheel-spinning combat previously used in "Yo-Kai Watch 1" & "2."

For those who are unfamiliar with Yo-Kai, it might look similar to "Pokemon" at first glance because it has monsters which battle against each other. However, the similarity ends there.

In "Yo-Kai Watch," you get to explore the town of Springdale and hunt 'yokais,' spirits or monsters from Japanese folklore which come in different shapes and sizes. They can take the shape of humans, demons, animals, or things. They can be hunted and located using the Yo-Kai Watch given by the first yokai the character encounters in the game.

In the "Yo-Kai" battle system, the monsters fight entirely on their own but they can be enhanced by tapping the Soultimate option found on the lower screen. Then the player gets to play a mini-game which can enhance the power of the yokai if completed successfully.

"Yo-Kai Watch 3: Sushi" and "Tempura" is set for release in the Japanese market on July 16, 2016. While Japan is going to enjoy the third installment of the game, North America is still waiting for the release of "Yo-Kai Watch 2" on the Nintendo 3DS platform.
