Acer Aspire Z3-700 news: All-in-one offers optimized Windows 10 experience

Acer has unveiled the Aspire Z3-700, the newest Windows 10 device joining the Taiwanese company's extensive portfolio. Aside from the Aspire Z3-700, Acer also released the Aspire R 14 convertible notebook.
"With Windows 10, we can now deliver a unique and consistent experience across our comprehensive product portfolio, be it notebooks, desktops, tablets or smartphones, and empower users to go great things with more personal and human technology," said Jason Chen, Acer's Corporate President and CEO.
The Acer Aspire Z3-700 is described as a portable all-in-one PC. It features a 17.3-inch Full HD display with 1080 x 1920 screen resolution and a 10-point capacitive multi-touch screen. The portable PC also features a slim and light chassis, measuring 15.6mm and weighing only 4.4 pounds.
The portable nature of the Z3-700 PC allows it to be used as a desktop, by propping up its kickstands, or users can also carry the Z3-700 around the house and use it like a tablet, depending on the task at hand. The display also supports input from a dedicated stylus to give users a more precise control.
The all-in-one PC will be powered by Intel Pentium and Celeron processors and have up to 8 GB of RAM. Users can also choose between SSD or HDD storage options. The Aspire Z3-700's built-in battery lasts up to 5 hours.
Terry Myerson, Vice President for Microsoft's Windows and Devices Group, also announced that they had collaborated with Acer to ensure that their devices "would make the most of Windows 10."
With the Windows 10 operating system, users can utilize features like Cortana, their own virtual assistant, Continuum, which lets Windows phones be used as supplementary PC displays and the new and improved Microsoft Edge browser.
Acer also optimized the Windows 10 technology for its devices. With dual-digital microphones featuring Acer Purified technology, speech accuracy is improved and background noise is minimized. This allows Cortana to function optimally. The Z3-700 also features Acer TrueHarmony Plus technology with Dolby Audio to provide an immersive surround sound experience. Finally, with the Acer BluelightShield technology, users can choose from four modes that reduce blue light emission to prevent eyestrain.
The Acer Aspire Z3-700 will be released at the end of the year and will be sold for about $680.
