'American Horror Story: Hotel' news: Photos show Lady Gaga all dressed up for a scene; singer plays The Countess, the socialite owner of the Hotel Cortez
Production for "American Horror Story: Hotel" is in full-swing and Lady Gaga appears to be relishing every moment she's on set as she gives her all in her role as the owner of Hotel Cortez.
Photos have surfaced that showed the singer wearing a heavy looking maroon robe walking down a board walk, a carousel in the background. She later changed into her outfit for the scene, a long black jacket with a gold cincher and black, lace-up boots. She also wore an almost transparent, black brimmed hat and floral gloves. Another photo for the scene showed Gaga holding the hand of a young, blonde boy.
The outfit and look is nothing new to Lady Gaga and is actually something that her fans are expecting and looking forward to seeing when "American Horror Story: Hotel" is finally released.
The 29-year-old musician has made no secret of how much she's enjoying her work on the series and has admitted to Entertainment Weekly that she had been crying because she has "returned to something I've believed in so much, which is the art of darkness."
The "Bad Romance" hit maker is a natural choice to play The Countess in the next installation of the horror anthology show, which is known for its twisted, dark and scary storylines.
"American Horror Story" creator, Ryan Murphy, described Lady Gaga's character as a very wealthy socialite "who is consumed with art, fashion and people." But she apparently also has a "nefarious plan" that is revealed immediately in the season and which involves the hotel that she owns – the Hotel Cortez.
The producer also raved about the pop star's commitment and described her as "the only actress I think I've worked with who wanted to do more explicit stuff than was written." That certainly seems true in one scene that the "Born this Way" singer did with co-star Matt Bomer — a foursome that ended in violence.
As in the previous seasons, "American Horror Story: Hotel" boasts of an impressive ensemble cast who's a mix of "AHS" regulars and new faces. Veterans, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett are Chloe Sevigny are back. Lily Rabe and Emma Roberts are also returning in a guest role.
Aside from Lady Gaga, Naomi Campbell, Darren Criss, Wes Bentley and Matt Bomer are also on board.
"American Horror Story: Hotel" premieres on Oct. 7, 2015.
