Bill Wilson, Founder of World's Largest Sunday School Returns to Japan from June 30

Bill Wilson, senior pastor and founder of the world's largest ministry to children Metro World Child (MWC), will speak at five locations from Sapporo, Okinawa, Tokyo and Nagoya from June 30 to July 7.

Wilson, 12 years old with experience of being abandoned by his mother, began a church school in the slums streets in New York to save children who are in the same circumstances as himself. This concept became highly successful not only in the United States but also in the world, and now about 200,000 children pass through Sunday schools located throughout the world. The witness is familiar to a book such as "This child's son - a message from New York / Slums street".

Activities in the slums are often in dangerous neighborhoods, in 2003, while caring for the homeless, there was a case in which the robber fired a muzzle into his mouth. At this time as well, he suffered serious injuries that puncture the cheek, but he was saved and resumed activities as soon as he received treatment.

Last October he was shot by a refugee camp near the Syrian border with a church school and participating in medical activities. Life was protected by bulletproof vest but fractured the skull with his head hitting the rock on the ground with a strong shock when receiving a shoot from behind. From that point he fulfilled his miraculous comeback and continues to work even now as he is 70 years old.

Mr. Masayoshi Takeshi chief pastor of the MWC Japan office and Matsuyama Evangelism Center said, "The secrets of faith that started reckless work in the slums of Brooklyn and could grow up to world-class work in less than 40 years are all It also gives great hints to the progress of people's lives. The secret of continuing to expand hundreds of multinational staff to worldwide work is to all readers seeking to move people and organizations will give guidelines not only for people involved in the church but also calling for wider participation."
