Although previous reports suggested that chapter 685 of the "Bleach" manga series will be the finale, it has been announced that the long-running manga series will actually end with its upcoming 686th chapter.

In the second to the last chapter of the series, readers were able to look into the future which featured new captains as well as the previous captains who've maintained their title. More importantly, the future showed a peaceful Soul Society. However, towards the end, readers found out that Yhwach was still alive through the presence of his reiatsu.

Many suspect that Yhwach jumped into the future to save himself from the battle that should have taken place 10 years earlier. According to reports, Ichigo might bring back Yhwach to the present so that he may properly put an end to the villain.

Some say that Ichigo in the future will be the one to bring Yhwach back to the present. Others, however, believe that Ichigo from the present will follow Yhwach to the future; hence, he would be able to see a possible future featuring a peaceful Soul Society.

Whatever the case maybe, what is most likely to happen in chapter 686 is a confrontation between Ichigo and Yhwach. And that is definitely what the fans are excited about. Without a doubt, fans would like to see Ichigo and Yhwach battle it out for the last time. Hopefully, the mangaka or manga artist of "Bleach," Tite Kubo, has written something phenomenal for the finale of his well-loved series.

Some suspect that in chapter 686, the future Ichigo will be the new Captain-Commander of Soul Society. In addition, many believe that the hero will end up with Orihime.

The final chapter of "Bleach" is said to be launching alongside an announcement. Fans are hoping that a spinoff would me made for the series featuring the early days of Soul Society, and they are hoping that this announcement would confirm it. However, Tite Kubo has not confirmed nor did he deny anything about a spinoff series.
