The mid-season finale of "Blindspot" season 2 will air today and a lot of fans have been worried that the series would be cancelled.

The upcoming episode 9 of "Blindspot" season 2 is titled "Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform" and is officially the fall finale of the series before it goes into an indefinite hiatus.

The Futon Critic has listed the mid-season premiere of "Blindspot" season 2 to be returning on the first week of January 2017, although the schedule could still change anytime.

As for the coming episode, the promo released by NBC promises a shocking finale for fans.

The synopsis for "Blindspot" season 2 episode 9 reads: "As Sandstorm prepares to execute Phase Two of its plan, Weller and team organize a raid in the hopes of preventing a nationwide catastrophe. But is it too late?"

One of the most interesting parts in the promo is the scene where Roman Kruger (Luke Mitchell) was seen pointing a gun at Remi Kruger aka Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander).

It looks like the fall finale for "Blindspot" season 2 will have Roman having to decide between Jane and Shepherd (Michelle Hurd).

In an interview with Collider, Luke Mitchell (Ian "Roman" Kruger) revealed that although Roman thinks of Jane as one of the most important persons in his life and fears losing his sister again, another thing pushing Roman is his desire to prove himself to his adoptive mother, Shepherd.

In a report by Entertainment Weekly, they have confirmed that the upcoming episode will also finally reveal one of the things that fans have been trying to figure out: the identity of the mole in the FBI.

"Blindspot" executive producer Martin Gero has been quoted as saying, "In one of our biggest, most emotional episodes yet, Jane is stuck behind enemy lines as the team frantically tries to find her. And if you've been wondering who the mole is, you don't want to miss the mid-season finale."

"Blindspot" season 2, episode 9, "Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform" will air on Wednesday, Nov. 16, 8 p.m. EST on NBC.
