After the 15-year run of the worldwide hit animated phenomenon, "Naruto," ended this year, Japanese mangaka Masashi Kishimoto is still not showing any signs of slowing down. His latest big-screen project, "Boruto: Naruto the Movie," features a story about the next generation, tying into the Naruto project. The film is set to be released in theaters across Japan on August 7 this year and in other countries later in 2015.

In a recent article, Ecumenical News had reported that the upcoming "Naruto" film would most likely follow the same release pattern as the previous movie, "The Last: Naruto the Movie," whereas the film will be shown in its original Japanese language with English subtitles. The film will also be reportedly shown in the same eight cities as the previous film namely: New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle, Boston, Dallas, Houston, and San Diego. An official U.S. release date has not yet been announced.

According to information via the Naruto Reddit, Masashi Kishimoto is set to make a big announcement on July 29, a week ahead of the premiere of "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" on August 7. It is still unclear what the announcement will be about, but fans are speculating that it may involve the current flow of the story surrounding Boruto, Sarada, and the next generation Konoha shinobis.

In other news, Anime News Network has reported that the upcoming "Boruto: Naruto the Movie" will receive its own comedy manga tie-in featuring deformed versions of the film's characters. The manga will be drawn by Kenji Taira and will be published in the September issue of Shueisha's Saikyo Jump magazine on August 1, a week before the film's Japan release.

The Naruto Project, also known as Naru Pro, is a special project to celebrate 15 years of the Naruto series. The project began in 2014 with the release of the databook Jin no Sho and concludes this year with the sequel mini-series "Naruto Gaiden: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring" and "Boruto: Naruto the Movie."
