'Chicago Fire' season 5 episode 5 spoilers: Casey deals with failure over saving a life

(Facebook/NBCChicagoFire)Casey and Severide will face off in the next episode of "Chicago Fire."

Casey (Jesse Spencer) will take out his frustration over failing to save a woman's life on Severide (Taylor Kinney) in the upcoming episode of "Chicago Fire."

In the episode titled "I Held Her Hand," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that the lieutenant will respond to a call on a burning greystone house, only to find that someone is trapped inside. Because the fire has fully spread, it becomes impossible to save the woman. Her death will take its toll on Casey, especially when accusations about her husband surface. While he is convinced that the case needs to be probed more, Severide does not think so, insisting that the husband is innocent.

As per the promo released, someone will tell Casey that what happened was arson. The husband allegedly wanted to kill his wife and he succeeded in making it look like an accident. Casey wants to bring in the husband for questioning, but Severide interrupts and claims the man is not a killer. In fact, the husband tried to get inside the burning house to save his wife, but the firefighters stopped him. Casey will follow his suspicion though. When he checks the place, he sees a charred line, confirming that someone intentionally started the fire.

Casey tells Severide that he must prove the husband is not guilty. With the evidence he has, he is sure there is foul play involved. In the trailer, the brewing tension between the two is very obvious.

Meanwhile, Dawson (Monica Raymund) and Brett (Kara Killmer) will respond to an urgent call. A teenager will sustain serious injuries that need immediate attention. The 16-year-old boy is reportedly about to ask a girl he likes to go to the homecoming dance with him when things go horribly wrong.

"Chicago Fire" season 5 airs Tuesday, Nov. 15 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
