'Chicago PD' season 4 episode 9 spoilers: Olinsky complains to Voight about new partner?

(Facebook/NBCChicagoPD)Olinsky has a new partner in the next episode of "Chicago PD."

Olinsky (Elias Koteas) is not going to be a happy camper in the upcoming episode of "Chicago P.D." What has Voight (Jason Beghe) done that has made his senior agent so upset?

In the episode titled "Don't Bury This Case," the spoilers reveal that Burgess (Marina Squerciati) will finally meet her new supervisor after her transfer to Intelligence.

Last episode, Voight offered her Dawson's (Jon Seda) old position. Dawson was given a post in the State Attorney's office as the lead investigator. With Voight's team missing a member, the boss thought Burgess would fit the job well. The patrol officer is eager to prove herself and cannot wait to start work. Unfortunately, she will soon encounter her first problem in Intel.

As seen in the sneak peek, Voight will assign Olinsky to be Burgess' new partner. Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) will partner up with Atwater (LaRoyce Hawkins), while Lindsay (Sophia Bush) will still have Halstead (Jesse Lee Soffer). Olinsky looks very surprised with the change in the lineup. He and Ruzek worked well together. He especially does not like being saddled with a newbie. Olinsky cannot tell Voight what he thinks right away since everyone is there. Viewers can expect him though to talk to the other man and express his disappointment about being partnered up with Burgess.

Meanwhile, it is interesting to note that Ruzek is not at the headquarters when Burgess arrives. They were previously engaged until she realized he had no plans of walking down the aisle with her. The breakup was a mess. Not long after, Burgess got romantically involved with Roman (Brian Geraghty). There was a lot of tension between the two men. Roman ended up quitting after Burgess refused to leave Chicago with him. Will there be a reunion for the ex-couple?

"Chicago P.D." season 4 episode 9 will air on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2017 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
