The 11th season of "Criminal Minds" is just three months away so Aaron Hotchner (Thomas Gibson), Derek Morgan (Shemar Moore) and the rest of the BAU are said to be gearing up for work.

A photo showing a table with place cards and scripts was uploaded Wednesday on Twitter, confirming that the cast have all checked in for their first table reading for season 11. Photos of various set pieces, including Penelope Garcia's (Kristen Vangsness) citadel of information, have previously been revealed.

In the season 10 finale, Hotch and the team learns that JJ (A.J Cook) and Kate (Jennifer Love Hewitt) are both pregnant, leaving them two members short. While JJ is expected to return, the same cannot be said for Kate. This explains reports that have surfaced that hinted at Hotch interviewing several likely candidates to fill the role of Kate in next season's premiere episode. It is said that Hotch would ultimately pick Dr. Tara Lewis, who will be played by Aisha Tyler. Her character is described as "a psychologist with an eye for forensic psychology and its application toward the criminal justice system."

There have also been hints by showrunner Erica Messer that the show might bring back some of "Criminal Minds" more notable characters. Paget Brewster's character Emily Prentiss has been confirmed to make an appearance while Matthew Grey Gubler (Dr. Spencer Reid) wants his character's mother Diana, played by "Glee's" Jane Lynch, to return. Another character that CM fans are hoping will come back is Special Agent Elle Greenaway (Lola Glaudini), who left the team after shooting a suspect.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 will only run for 22 episodes, a fact that has some fans worried. The police procedural series have always ran for 24 episodes (excluding seasons one and three) so some are wondering if this is a sign that the show is nearing the end of its distinguished run.

"Criminal Minds" season 11 is set to premiere on Sept. 30, 2016 on CBS.
