Denver Nuggets trade rumors 2016: Miami Heat's Chris Bosh still the best option?

The Denver Nuggets were connected to some of the biggest names this 2016 National Basketball Association (NBA) off-season, but perhaps the best option for them among those is the Miami Heat's Chris Bosh.

Bosh is a legitimate star, something the Nuggets need to again have significance in the league, as well as a leader who can end their struggles. The 32-year-old may have battled blood clots in the past two seasons, but so far he looks great and is already doing basketball activities without limitations.

Despite Bosh's readiness to see action, the Heat remain quiet. They are not yet giving him medical clearance, which is not a good sign especially with training camp just around the corner.

However, Bosh made it clear, saying in a recent podcast interview, "But I will play basketball in the NBA."

If the Heat will not permit Bosh, then the latter might request for a trade just to continue his playing career in the league. This is where the Nuggets enter the frame and attempt to land the All-Star.

The best players the Nuggets can offer Miami as of the moment are Kenneth Faried and Danilo Gallinari. Both could be included in a package deal that also features young talented players or future draft picks.

Losing Faried and Gallinari is a tough blow for Denver since they are the franchise's best players now. But for the opportunity to have Bosh, sacrificing them and taking the risk might be worth it.

With the Nuggets, Bosh will be surrounded by budding youngsters who he can guide and help improve. They might not be championship contenders in a snap, but if they put up an impressive run, Denver would be considered by stars and future free agents as one of the best destinations when they become available on the market.
