'Devious Maids' season 4 spoilers: Marisol, Jesse continue playing sweet music together

(Facebook/deviousmaids)Marisol and Nathan are still together in "Devious Maids" season 4.

Marisol Suarez (Ana Ortiz) and Jesse Morgan (Nathan Owens) will continue their hot affair in the upcoming season of the hit Lifetime series "Devious Maids."

Fans of the Latina and her hunky gardener-turned-boyfriend will be happy to learn that Owens has been promoted as a series regular, as reported by TV Line. Last installment, many rooted for the couple as they attempted to prevent themselves from falling for each other. Marisol, in particular, fought hard against her growing fascination with her maid. In the end, though, their undeniable chemistry won over their apprehension, and they officially became a couple.

The relationship has had its share of problems. While out on a date, other women thought Marisol was paying Jesse to escort her. There was even an instance when a predatory female swooped in and tried to take Jesse away from her. For Marisol, the "downs" were more prevalent than the "ups" in their affair. She had thoughts of breaking up with Jesse, but they still remained together until the finale. In the upcoming season, viewers can expect to see more of the couple, as they face problems together.

Meanwhile, season 4 is expected to pick up with Genevieve's (Susan Lucci) decision on whether to save Zoila (Judy Reyes) or the baby. The previous installment ended with a lot of cliffhangers, one being Zoila's precarious condition. The character was due to give birth, but there were complications in her pregnancy. Lucci shared during the recently concluded AOL Build event that as Zoila's boss, an important decision would fall on her character's regal shoulders.

"Zoila was highly pregnant at the very end of the show. The doctor came to Genevieve and said she had to make a serious decision between saving Zoila's life or the unborn baby. ... I wish I could say — but I don't want it to be a spoiler because it's much more fun to watch!" she teased.

The fate of Genevieve's husband, Adrian (Tom Irwin), will also be revealed. The last time viewers saw him, he was still inside when the Powell residence exploded into flames. Lucci declined to share whether or not Irwin's character has survived the accident, but hinted that there would be "some shocking surprises" that viewers could look forward to.

"Devious Maids" season 4 will air summer of this year on Lifetime.
