'Diablo III' latest news and updates: next patch will soon let fans revisit 'Diablo'

(Blizzard)The Necromancer (shown here in action in 'Diablo 2) may be coming to 'Diablo 3'

It was revealed recently in BlizzCon 2016 that the first "Diablo" will soon be seen in "Diablo III" as a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the franchise. Aside from that, a new job class known as the Necromancer will also be arriving in the third installment.

It has been reported recently by IGN that the original installment of the "Diablo" franchise will come to "Diablo III" via the "Darkening of Tristram" Diablo anniversary patch. The announcement was given by Frank Pearce, the chief development officer of Blizzard, during the recent event. This has made a lot of fans excited and is a good incentive for the players to play the game again. It is also bound to bring a nostalgic vibe to the longtime fans of the "Diablo" games.

In order to give tribute to the first installment, a dungeon will be included in the anniversary patch consisting of 16 levels. Inside the new dungeon, players will encounter four bosses from the original game. Furthermore, it will contain the original music and graphic filters that will make players feel the vibe of the first installment. Aside from that, even the gamer's movements will be reduced to eight directions.

Moreover, the Necromancer will also make a comeback. Longtime fans may be familiar with this job class since it was part of "Diablo II." The Necromancer may be similar to the Witch Doctor, but there is a huge difference between them. A Necromancer can summon the dead back to life by turning them into skeletons instead of zombies. Also, the Witch Doctor's pawns does not need to be controlled and they just do anything they want, while the summons of the Necromancer can be manipulated by the player directly.

There is no exact release date yet for the new content that will be added to "Diablo III" but it will arrive in 2017.
