Google Pixel XL and Huawei Honor 6X updates: Which is the better choice?

While Google Pixel XL and the Huawei Honor 6X are not as popular as Apple's iPhone 7 or Samsung's Galaxy S7, there is no denying that the two phones are not to be ignored. After all, both offer impressive specs and features but still come at more affordable prices as compared to the flagship phones of Apple and Samsung.
Tech pundits have recently compared the Google Pixel XL and the Huawei Honor 6X in an attempt to shed light on which is better between the two. While the two devices share some common specs and features, there are certain things that set them apart.
The first common denominator between the two devices is their size as both the Google Pixel XL and Huawei Honor 6X come with 5.5-inch screens. Both devices are also packed in their respective aluminum bodies that both make them durable and sleek-looking. However, the common factors stop there as the two devices already differ in their other specs and features.
When it comes to screen display resolution, the Google Pixel XL has a clear upper hand as it comes with a sharper display with a screen resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels. That of the Huawei Honor 6X's is 1,920 x 1,080 pixels only.
As far as their respective processor is concerned, it has been learned that the Google Pixel XL still has the advantage. While the Huawei Honor 6X has a Kirin 655 chipset clocked at 2.1 GHz, the Google Pixel XL boasts of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 821 processor, clocked at 2.15 GHz. This means that the Google device is relatively faster than that of Huawei.
Because the Google Pixel is said to have the best smartphone camera in the market today, with a 12.3-megapixel primary camera with f/2.0, EIS (gyro), phase detection and laser autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash, it goes without saying that the Huawei Honor 6X still pales in comparison in this category as it only offers a dual 12-megapixel 2-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus and LED flash.
Perhaps, the most considerable difference between the two devices is their price. While it is true that the Google Pixel wins over the Huawei Honor 6X in many aspects (especially with its virtual assistant, Google Assistant), it does not mean that the latter is an inferior device.
Hence, if consumers are unwilling to spend US$769 for a Google Pixel XL, paying $249.99 for a Huawei Honor 6X is not a bad idea at all. Whether one chooses Google Pixel XL or the Huawei Honor 6X, either choice is best for those who can't cough up the high price tags for the iPhone 7 and Galaxy S7.
