"Grimm" finally returns after a very shocking midseason finale. In the final moments of the episode, it seemed that Nick and the team were trapped with no way out. Suddenly, someone who looks exactly like Juliette rescues them.

Actress Bitsie Tulloch returns to the show after her character Juliette was shot dead during the season four finale. While she looks like Juliette and retains all of her memories, she is no longer the same person. When "Grimm" returns this Friday, viewers will see Tulloch's new persona as Eve in the aptly titled episode "Eve of Destruction."

"It's not really Juliette anymore. It's this new character, Eve, who has not been brainwashed exactly, but she's been through some incredibly tough training where they broke her down to nothing. She's basically a super Hexenbiest weapon for Hadrian's Wall to fight Black Claw," co-creator David Greenwalt explained.

In preparation for the show's return, NBC has released teaser images of Tulloch before and after her character's transformation. Now that she is Eve, her new look consists of bright wigs and black skintight leather clothes.

Juliette/Eve's return will have Nick out on a quest to find out what had happened to her. While Eve is aware of everything that had happened with Nick, it seems that she will no longer have any emotional connection towards him. Eve will also have to operate under the shadows so that she will not run into anyone who knew her in her past life.

Even though Nick will be affected by Eve's introduction, it seems that his relationship with Adalind will continue to grow in the coming episodes. Though there are some complicated storylines and curveballs headed their way, their bond won't be severed, especially since they now have a child together.

Eve will continue to play a large role this season. Unfortunately, it seems that her new life and role will prevent her from rejoining the team.

Season 5 of "Grimm" returns on Jan. 29, Friday at 9 p.m. ET on NBC.
