Huawei Mate S vs. HTC One M9: Mate S with its metal body has the advantage

With several metal-bodied smartphones and phablets arriving, it is not surprising that other manufacturers, including Huawei, also released a flagship phablet with the same design, but if it wants to dominate the smartphone arena, it has to succesfully take on its competitors, including the HTC One M9.
Design
The Mate S has a metal body and its back panel is curved. Also, the device has rounded edges and comes with a fingerprint scanner incorporated into a button located at its rear. As for the front, there is Corning Gorilla Glass 4 on it and it has a 2.5 D curve. As for the colors, there are three options, gray, gold and champagne. As for the One M9, it also has a metal body and it comes with an impressive polish that has been applied by hand. Its edges are rounded and has all the looks of a premium device but it does not have a fingerprint scanner. As for colors, there are four options, silver/gold, gray, gold, and a gold/pink.
Display
The display of the One M9 consists of a 5.0-inch super LCD3 screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 441 pixels per inch. The Mate S has a bigger 5.5-inch AMOLED screen with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels and a density of 401 pixels per inch. The highest-priced model of the Mate S also has Force Touch, which can sense the amount of pressure being applied to the screen.
Specs
When it comes to hardware, the Mate S has a HiSilicon Kirin 935 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU that consist of four cores clocked at 2.2 GHz and four clocked at 1.5 GHz and a Mali-T628 MP4 GPU. On the One M9 is the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset, coupled with an octa-core CPU comprised of four cores clocked at 1.5 GHz and four clocked at 2 GHz along with an Adreno 430 GPU.
Memory
Each of these devices support the addition of up to 128 GB of external storage, and the Mate S' second SIM slot actually doubles as a microSD slot. As for RAM, they have 3 GB each.
Price
The HTC One M9 costs $199 with a two-year contract, while the Huawei Mate S is estimated to have a price tag of $650, unlocked.
