While gadget fans excitedly await the arrival of the upcoming mobile devices from Apple, such as the iPhone 7, iPad Air 3, iPad Pro 2, and the Apple Watch 2, it is said that the Cupertino-based technology company may just surprise its loyal customers with the release of an improved version of the iMac to be known as the iMac 2016.

There is no denying that many consumers these days are fixated on mobile devices. However, although many can now work using their tablets or smartphones, there are still those who prefer to work using the traditional desktop computers. According to a report of Bloomberg, Apple has recognized the reality that not all people are comfortable working with their MacBooks or iPads, hence, it is planning to release a new version of the iMac.

The report also claims that Apple has forged an agreement with the South Korean tech giant LG to develop the monitor of the said iMac 2016, which is alleged to boast of a 5K screen resolution, just like the current iMac. However, it has been learned that no one from Apple nor LG has confirmed this rumor.

According to Mac World, it is highly possible for Apple to launch the iMac 2016 next month as the last update on the said Apple product was made in the same month last year.

Meanwhile, according to Mac Rumors, the upcoming Apple event next week may be devoid of the announcement of MacBooks. Rather, the event will be a venue for the unveiling of the highly anticipated iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, Apple Watch 2, and the wireless Bluetooth earphones, which will be called as Air Pods.

According to the publication, as the event will highlight the iPhone 7 and the iPhone 7 Plus, it is likely for the MacBooks to be unveiled in another event, probably next month as well.

Whether the alleged unveiling of the next line of MacBooks next month will also feature the launching of the iMac 2016, it is unclear at this point in time.
