When it comes to smartwatches, people think about the Apple Watch and nothing else very often, but there are other great looking options available in the market such as the LG G Watch Urbane and Asus ZenWatch. Here is how these two devices compare.

Design

Looking at both devices, it is clear that the Watch Urbane is miles ahead in terms of style. It has a round body crafted from stainless steel and it comes with either a gold or silver polish. Its default strap is made of leather but users who prefer something else will be glad to know that it can easily be switched out with any standard 22mm strap. In terms of water and dust proofing, it has an IP67 certification, which means it can be dunked in up to 1 meter of water for 30 minutes.

As for the Asus ZenWatch, it also has a stainless steel body but it is rectangular and comes with a rose gold-colored band running along its edge. Its default band is made of brown leather with a steel clasp, but just like the Watch Urbane, the strap can be swapped out with any 22mm version available. It has a lower IP55 rating than its competitor and can only withstand splashes of water.

Both watches run on Android Wear.

Display

The Asus ZenWatch has an AMOLED screen measuring 1.63 inches with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and a density of 278 pixels per inch, as for the Watch Urbane it has a P-OLED display measuring 1.3 inches with a resolution of 320 x 320 pixels and a density of 245 pixels per inch.

Specs

Both devices have top-notch specs. The Watch Urbane comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 chipset, 4GB storage and 512MB RAM and the Asus ZenWatch also has the same hardware onboard.

Sensors

The Asus ZenWatch comes with a heart rate sensor and a 9-axis bio sensor while the Watch Urbane has a 9-axis accelerometer, gyroscope, compass, barometer and heart rate sensor.

Price

The LG Watch Urbane is priced at $350 while the Asus ZenWatch has a price tag of $200.
