Miami Heat All-Star forward Chris Bosh might make a comeback in the 2016-17 National Basketball Association (NBA) season. Despite this, his name is still a part of trade talks, especially after Dwyane Wade left the franchise in free agency.

In a report by the Miami Herald, it was stated that Heat owner Micky Arison "included" Bosh when he spoke about the team. Along with this, the franchise is "cautiously optimistic" he is going to see action in its new campaign.

The last time Bosh played for the Heat was in a regular season loss to the San Antonio Spurs back in February. Following that, the 32-year-old no longer stepped on the court as he continued to battle blood clots, which almost ended his career before.

This is good news for the Heat, especially their fans. It can be considered a silver lining for the franchise after a terrible off-season which led to them losing Wade.

However, Bosh's return is not cast in stone and there is a possibility it will all lead to nothing. So far it is unknown if the two-time champion is already working out or practicing to prepare for the new season.

Because it remains uncertain, Bosh's name keeps bouncing around in trade speculations. There are rumors linking Miami to players that it could trade for to be his replacement, or some who will step up for the Heat in his possible continued absence next season.

Names like the Orlando Magic's Nikola Vucevic, Sacramento Kings' Rudy Gay and the Los Angeles Clippers' Chris Paul were all connected to the Heat at one point this off-season.

For now, all the Heat can do is to wait for Bosh and if he returns in the 2016-17 season. If not, then they must brace themselves for a difficult campaign which for the first time will not feature Wade.
