'Narcos' season 2: Eric Lange is latest addition to Netflix show's cast

Netflix's Narcos premiered last Aug. 28 and the television series detailing the life of American drug kingpin, Pablo Escobar and hi cartel, the Medellin Cartel was greenlighted for a second season mere days after its debut last Sept. 3. Details about its return has been scarce however the several reports have already chimed in on what fans can expect from the second season of "Narcos."

At the tail end of "Narcos'" pilot season, Pablo Escobar was last seen escaping into the woods with Steve Murphy vowing to capture and see to it that the drug lord doesn't see the turn of the year. Because of the final scenes, fans speculate that Narcos season two will be all about the manhunt of Pablo Escobar and the danger and fear of getting killed in the United States soil.

The search for Pablo Escobar will reportedly be spear-headed by the group called Los Pepes who is funded by the the rivals of Pablo Escobar. The same group hunted down and killed associates and family relatives of Pablo Escobar which made Escobar scared and he feared for the safety of his family.

Pablo Escobar had one big prison escape last 1992 and died at 1993. Speculations have been made that the second season may tackle the events that happened in Pablo Escobar's life as a drug kingpin and his running from the fed from 1992 till his death in 1993. Fans also speculate that this may be the last season for Narcos and that Pablo Escobar will die at the end of this season.

While plot details have remained nothing but speculation, it has been confirmed that a new character will be introduced in the return of the series. According to Deadline, Eric Lange has signed on to the show and would be a CIA (Central Intelligence Agency).

The release date for the second season of Narcos is not yet announced.
