With a number of rumors pointing toward the Pascal GP104 GPU already being shipped to retailers, focus has been shifting to when it would be released by NVIDIA. Added to this rumor has come leaked photos of the NVIDIA Pascal GP104 GPU with GDDR5X memory.

Reporting on the arrival of the Pascal GP104 GPU, VideoCardz states that it investigated the leaked images that are circulating on the Internet. Following this investigation, it came to the conclusion that the GP104 GPU is already available on a custom board. This particular piece of information led it to believe that the GPU was already being sent to retailers and they are ready to be shipped out to customers soon. Other information seen in the leaked image of the GP104-400 GPU clearly shows the components that would be included in the GTX 1080 graphics cards and two others.

Earlier, another GPU104-200 GPU was leaked in an image and it helped bring out more details about the Pascal GPU being used. As for the graphics memory, the graphics card with GP104-400 is expected to come with Micron 6GA77 79TXT modules and there are indications that GDDR5X memory chips will be used.

These leaked images could indicate that the Pascal GP104 will be unveiled soon. However, those who want more information about the next-generation Pascal architecture were given just that when NVIDIA provided access to a Whitepaper. Reporting on the arrival of the white paper for the Pascal architecture, Techfrag states that many of the numbers that have been highlighted in it are only theoretical. However, these numbers go a long way in building anticipation about the unreleased graphics cards as they show that the Pascal architecture is very efficient.

Finally, with more information about the Pascal architecture and leaked images arriving on the Internet, there are indications that it will be able to beat the performance of the earlier Maxwell GPUs by a large margin.
