'One Piece' Chapter 801 spoilers: Luffy and the Straw Hat Pirates about to experience their greatest war yet?

(One Piece Official Site)

Eiichiro Oda, author of the 18-year-old pirate adventure manga, "One Piece," recently entered the Guinness Book of World Records for having "the most copies published for the same comic book series by a single author." Since the manga's release in 1997, Oda has released 77 volumes and sold over 320,866,000 units.

It seems that "One Piece" isn't slowing down any time soon. Oda recently released Chapter 800 last week.

In Chapter 800, titled "Followers' Sake Cups," Luffy was surprised to discover that even though he refused to become the boss, his newest allies still decided to join his Straw Hat Grand Fleet.

Their fleet is soon attacked by angry pirates, who were defeated by Doflamingo. Fortunately, thanks to Fujitora's assistance, the attacks do not hit any of the Straw Hat's ships. Luffy and his pirates celebrate their victory and they sail on to their next destination, leaving behind Dressrosa.

However, the chapter ends with Oda foreshadowing a large and pivotal event that will happen in the future.

Chapter 800 served as the conclusion to the Dressrosa Arc. With the imminent release of Chapter 801, many fans are already speculating as to what Oda has in store for Luffy and his pirates.

According to Movie News Guide, a fan going by the alias, "kkck," speculates that since the pivotal event, teased in the previous chapter, would lead to a great event, it seems likely that Chapter 801 would revolve around a "gigantic or great war."

Another fan, "EddyBob15," seems to agree with this speculation. For EddyBob15, the ending narration of Chapter 800 seemed to give the impression that an imminent war is approaching.

It seems that long-time fans of the manga are able to see similarities with the last time Oda teased a "pivotal event." User, "joshua019," revealed that Oda is using the same foreshadowing technique, similar to when a war erupted as Blackbeard Pirates Captain Marshall D. Teach defeated Whitebeard Pirate 2nd Commander, Portgas D. Ace.

While these events are mere speculations, the fans seem to agree that something grim and unfortunate is going to happen in the next chapter.
