'Prison Break' season 5: A happy ending for Michael Scofield and Dr. Sara Tancredi?

((Facebook/PrisonBreak))"Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller will be back on TV screens after seven years.

Despite the confirmed return to "Prison Break" season 5 of Michael Scofield and Dr. Sara Tancredi portrayed by Wentworth Miller and Sarah Wayne Callies, respectively, a happy ending is said to be far from happening.

A report from International Business Times said that an Instagram post showing a picture of the two actors with the caption "Missed you, my friend" by Callies fueled fans' speculation about the reunion of Michael and Sara. However, the reunion may not be possible at the beginning of the series revival.

Sara, in the upcoming TV series, will be living a settled life with new husband Scott Ness (Mark Feuerstein). However, Michael Jr. (Christian Michael Cooper), Michael and Sara's son, will play a major role in reuniting his parents. However, it will still take a lot for this to happen since Sara would still need to breakup with Scott before she can go back to Michael and continue their love affair. Also, Sara thought that Michael was dead.

Another reason why their reunion might be delayed is that Sara will learn that Michael is still alive but is in a prison in Yemen. It will be hard for Sara to leave everything behind.

However, other rumors tell of Sara having a huge chance to set Michael free, after which they can continue their love story.

Other speculations about the upcoming series concern the roles that will be played by the other cast members.

Paul Adelstein who plays the role of Agent Paul Kellerman has been confirmed by the writers behind "Prison Break" in a Twitter question and answer portion with the fans.

Adelstein is expected by fans to be seen again in an antagonist role. He had always been in a "frenemy" role, not until the last few episodes wherein he helped Michael. However, the writers have not confirmed yet the character of Kellerman.

Robert Knepper who played the darkest character in the series will also be back in the upcoming sequel. Knepper was seen in the official trailer of the show as well.

No confirmation has been made yet on how the story is going to flow. Watch out as the revelations unfold on "Prison Break," which will be coming back for nine episodes in spring 2017 on FOX.
