Reserve your Samsung Galaxy S5 at Sprint and T-Mobile

Sprint began taking pre-orders for the Galaxy S5 on March 21 while T-Mobile will do so on March 24.

Sprint said it will begin selling the phone on April 11 but customers can come into stores to place a reservation for the device before then. Once the GS5 hits the market, Sprint customers with reservations will be contacted and can pay for the device. Sprint will sell the device for no money down with 24 monthly payments of $27.09, or a total of $650.16.

Sprint said it will also sell Samsung's new wearable devices starting April 11. Users can get the Gear 2 smart watch for $299.99; the Gear 2 Neo smart watch for $199.99 or the Gear Fit fitness tracker for $199.99.

On the other hand, T-Mobile said it customers who pre-order the GS5 before March 31 will get the device for a special introductory price of zero down with 24 monthly payments of $27.50 for a total of $660. It will begin selling the device in stores April 11. T-Mobile did not say what the regular price of the GS5 will be.

Samsung's GS5 comes with 16 gigabytes of storage and features a 5.1 inch full 1080p HD screen. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat; uses a 2.5GHz quad-core processor and has a 16 megapixel camera.

Pundits described the overall construction of the Galaxy S5 as more solid than its predecessors. The device is also dust and waterproof and is markedly bigger than the Galaxy S3 and S4.  It has a fingerprint scanner and a heart rate sensor, too.
