'Revenge' season 4 finale spoilers: Amanda may land in prison after confessing to misdeeds

(ABC/Facebook)

The world gasped when Grayson matriarch Victoria burned herself inside Grayson manor and set plans in motion to pin her death on her arch nemesis, Amanda. Mason Treadwell, the writer who made a deal to pen Emily/Amanda's story, helped the now-dead vendetta-seeking Grayson in her plan for revenge. With Victoria dead, Amanda arrested and David Clarke battling from cancer, what lies ahead for the protagonist?

Spoilers for the season four finale of "Revenge" seem to indicate that Amanda will confess to her past misdeeds. TVLine reports that "Two Graves" will see Emily forced to admit everything she did in the name of revenge. However, the website also teased whether Emily will go out on her own terms, just like her enemy. "Revenge" fans now know that Victoria and Emily/Amanda's fate is somehow intertwined together. The series started with Emily VanCamp's character seeking revenge on Victoria and ended with Madeline Stowe's character seeking revenge on Emily. When will the cycle end? Is death the only option out of this never-ending cycle?

Another possibility is that Emily goes to prison, since she is obviously arrested and pinned for Victoria's murder. Another TVLine report indicated that Emily VanCamp had tweeted a picture of herself in an orange jumpsuit along with "Everwood" actor Tom Amandes in what looked like a courtroom. The tweet was deleted within a few hours, but it indicated that Amanda may go on trial for Victoria's death. It is likely that she will land in prison.

Before fans find out the end of season four, the penultimate episode will see a compelling return of Charlotte, a life-changing event for David and a change in Nick and Amanda's relationship. With regards to the former childhood friends, creator Sunil Nayar told TVGuide that, "People will understand exactly where they stand in the finale. We'll really tap into what the world means now that she's Amanda Clark and that he's Jack Porter and... it's heartbreaking in some ways and really satisfying in others." So far, several reports indicate that this will the final season of the vendetta-driven saga.

Season four finale episode airs on Sunday, May 10 at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
