Samsung Galaxy Tab S3 rumors: What can people expect to see from the next-gen tablet?

(Samsung)The follow-up to the Galaxy Tab S2 (pictured), the rumored Galaxy Tab S3, is expected to arrive early next year.

One of the devices that has gone noticeably missing this year is Samsung's Galaxy Tab S3. But while that may not be corrected for the rest of 2016, folks on the lookout for the new tablet may still be able to get their first look at it not long after the calendar turns to 2017.

As an earlier report from Sam Mobile revealed, the new Samsung tablet may finally materialize sometime within the first quarter of 2017.

The report adds that two different models of the Tab S3 may also surface next year.

The folks over at Samsung have, unsurprisingly, not confirmed that a new tablet is indeed coming in 2017, but it does seem as though they are working on something.

Just last month, a new Samsung tablet – widely thought to be the Galaxy Tab S3 – was spotted over on the import-tracking web site Zauba. The Zauba listing hints that the tablet is in India for evaluation as well as some additional research and development.

The Tab S3 potentially already being in testing as early as last month may bode well for it being ready to show up within the first quarter of next year, as is mentioned in that Sam Mobile report.

Unfortunately, while the potential launch window for the new tablet may have already been identified, there's still not a lot currently known about what it may actually feature.

That the tablet skipped out on this year could mean that it will sport significantly enhanced specs when it shows up in 2017 so that it can manage to draw plenty of attention.

Tablet-seekers will just have to continue waiting for now, however, and hope that more details about what may be different when it comes to the specs and features of the Galaxy Tab S3 will be made available sooner rather than later.
