Fans have recently spotted the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016), an upcoming mid-range phone from the South Korea-based manufacturer, on the Chinese telecommunication commission boards TENAA. Aside from the certification, fans have also discovered the possible specs of the handset as well as its semi-official photo.

According to the report at Times News, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy A7, which is an upgraded version of this year's handset of the same brand name, recently passed TENAA and the listing indicates a few improvements in terms of its specifications.

As shown on the listing, the Samsung Galaxy A7 (2016 edition) with model number SM-A7100 sports a 5.5-inch OLED screen and a display resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, commonly referred to as 1080p or Full HD.

As for its power, processor-wise, the mid-range upgraded version of this year's Galaxy A7 runs on a previous Qualcomm chipset model, the Snapdragon 615, with a clock speed of 1.7 GHz. The CPU is said to be backed up by a 3 GB RAM as opposed to the 2 GB memory of this year's smartphone. On top of that, its built-in storage memory is said to be at 16 GB but can be expanded to 128 GB, a huge increase from the 64 GB max expansion on the Galaxy A7 (2015) edition, said on Times News' report.

Since this is a mid-range handset, the camera is on the average level. The TENAA listing suggests that the 2016 Galaxy A7 is equipped with a 13 MP main camera with LED flash and a 5 MP front-facing snapper.

Lastly, it was also revealed on the listing that the flagship is powered by a 2600 mAh battery-capacity and runs on Google's previous operating system, Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

In terms of release date or the official unveiling, Times News reports that the South Korean-based company might unveil the handset in the coming days or months. However, since there's still no word or announcements yet coming from Samsung, it's best to take this one with a tiny pinch of salt for now.
