'Scandal' Season 5 Spoilers: Olivia Pope Confronts Fitz; Rekindles Relationship with Jake

Political thriller TV series "Scandal" season 5 will be returning to the small screen next week for its episode 13, and as noted in a spoiler by Design & Trend, a confrontation between Olivia Pope (Kerry Washington) and President Fitzgerald Grant (Tony Goldwyn) will happen.
Apparently, Fitz isn't coping well with everything that has happened to him. First, Olivia ended her relationship with him after she felt that she has no freedom anymore. He also divorced his wife Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young), leaving him with no one at his side. Aside from that, Olivia also aborted their baby.
The series of events in Fitz's life has led him to hook up with women including the journalist Lillian Forrester (Annabeth Gish), who is described to be someone who has a big crush on the president. But will the two hit it off? Fitz is willing to do everything for Olivia so there's a possibility that Lillian is just a rebound.
In an interview with TVLine, Gish revealed some details about her character. "There's obviously chemistry between them, and I think it's genuine. She has to make a decision about whether or not she wants to do her piece... or date the president," she said.
Aside from hooking up with women, Fitz has also become passive during the last days of his presidency. This will lead Olivia to confront the president about his actions. As seen on the promo trailer for episode 13, Olivia tells Fitz, "Reckless, negligent, selfish. Is this really who you wanna be?" The two have avoided each other so the confrontation will be their first real conversation since their breakup.
Olivia will also be busy rekindling her relationship with Jake (Jack Foley). And though she intends to keep their affair a secret, OPA member Huck (Guillermo Diaz) will find out about it and will confront Olivia. He will also remind her that she is sleeping with the enemy.
"Scandal" season 5 episode 13 titled "The Fish Rots from the Head" will air on Thursday, March 10 on ABC.
