Season 2 of "Scorpion" — a CBS drama series about a team of intelligent misfits that battle high-tech treats to the country — has come to an end on Apr. 25, yet fans are still haunted with so many questions from the cliffhangers of the finale episode.

The finale, titled "Toby or Not Toby," ended with a rejected proposal from Toby (Eddie Kaye Thomas) and Happy (Jadyn Wong), all because, apparently, Happy is married all this time!

Who is she married to? Why did she keep it a secret? What happens to their relationship now? These are but some of the questions that fans are pondering on while waiting for season 3 to air.

What made fans even more excited for the next season to kick in are the hints that Eddie Kaye Thomas revealed during an interview with Entertainment Weekly.

When asked about season 3, Thomas said, "I'm excited for the season 3 premiere to see how the [fallout] of the season finale is played out amongst the team because what happened with Toby and Happy has big ramifications."

His answer reveals to fans that the premiere episode of "Scorpion" season 3 is likely going to take off from what season 2 left behind. He also made a few comments on the relationship of Walter (Elyes Gabel) and Paige (Katharine McPhee), who, during the season 2 ending, were also seen in a crossroad, after Walter allowed Paige to leave with Tim (Scott Porter) before realizing that he is actually in love with her.

"After the very last scene of the finale, as much as that has answered things, it's going to make the season premiere that much more exciting. So many questions and wants and needs for Walter and Paige and Happy and Toby are being opened up, and it's really exciting. I'm so grateful that we have clever writers who are listening to the fans and staying true to their original vision for the show," Thomas said.

CBS has not yet announced when season 3 will air, but speculations say that it would likely come out in September.
