The much awaited Sony Xperia Z5 has been finally unveiled by Sony at the IFA 2015 in Berlin and many assumed Sony's announcement would finally put an end to the rumors.

Unfortunately, that is not the case for the Z5, as recently, after the rumored Sony Xperia Z5 Compact Premium had emerged — which, by the way, was already debunked, as reported on Mikufan — another one popped up, which now points toward yet another variant, dubbed the Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra.

According to the report by Price Phony, this information was first leaked by a famed tipster, @Leaksfly. As the tipster suggests, it seems like Sony is going to release the Xperia Z5 Ultra by next year. The main reason for its release next year is most likely due to the fact that the Snapdragon 820 is still not available.

Additionally, as mentioned on GSM Arena, this device is said to sport a much larger screen size of 6.44 inches and will come with a resolution of 2,160 x 3,840, 4K quality display. The CPU has already been mentioned, but it will reportedly be backed up by 4 GB of RAM, a lot higher compared to the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium. Unfortunately, there is still no word regarding its internal memory capacity.

As for the other specs, the Ultra variant is said to come with the same 23-megapixel rear camera, pretty much the same as the other variants in the series. The most surprising among the specs though, is the battery.

As GSM Arena reported, the Sony Xperia Z5 Ultra will come with an amazing 4,000 mAh battery capacity and it is expected to be released on March 2016.

However, since there is still no confirmation from Sony, fans are advised to take this recent leak with a pinch of salt and wait for the official announcement of the manufacturer.
