The much-anticipated return of "Suits" is happening in July and viewers are waiting to find out what awaits the show's beloved characters in season 6. The first episode will take off from the last scene in season 5's finale where Mike enters the prison doors and Harvey returns to an empty Pearson Specter Litt office.

Mike will be featured staying inside the penitentiary for an unknown time and rumors of Rachel finding love with another man has been making the rounds. Among the returning and new casts announced, actor Malcolm Gets is believed to be Rachel's love interest.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gets' character will be an ethic instructor at Columbia Law. As Professor Dunbar, he will be working with Rachel and will help her with her legal skills inside and outside the classroom. This could indicate that they will be spending a lot of time together in the upcoming season. Rachel is in a vulnerable state having been dumped by Mike after planning to go ahead with the marriage, despite the impending time in jail.

While a fallout seems to be in sight for the romantic relationship between Mike and Rachel, his friendship with Harvey is said to continue, despite the circumstances. Viewers have seen how the two lead characters have braved through the ups and downs of their personal and professional lives in the past five seasons. The plot of the series revolves heavily on the kind of friendship they have.

There are speculations that Mike will finish his degree while serving time with the help of Harvey. Season 5's finale has taken a heavy and dramatic turn that others think season 6 will be a dark season. Pedestrian asked actor Gabriel Macht how much worse things are going to get, and he said, "The stakes are the highest they've ever been for the whole ensembles of characters."
