"Supernatural" fans were treated to a fun and heart-warming episode last time when the Winchesters visited Sheriff Jody Mills and her wards. It seems the fun times will continue in the show's Valentine's episode.

The popular TV drama opted for a family-oriented theme in episode 12, bearing in mind the family in question had experienced the supernatural at some point in their lives. Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean (Jensen Ackles) paid fan favourite Jody (Kim Rhodes) and her wards Claire (Kathryn Newton) and Alex (Katherine Ramdeen) a visit after the former told them of the mysterious goings on in their town. As expected, the brothers were able to help with their problem and inadvertently showed the two teenagers how lucky they are that they ended up with Jody.

The upcoming Valentine's episode will also deal with love, but of a sinister kind. A synopsis for episode 13, aptly titled "Love Hurts," states that Sam and Dean look in a series of murders that happened on Valentine's Day. The brothers soon discover an ancient curse is at play, where the person kissed by the curse is slated to die.

Fans can see a bit of what the brothers are up against in the episode's accompanying teaser clip. The sneak peek to "Supernatural's" Valentine's Day episode starts with a shot of Dean eating, a hickey clearly seen on his neck. Sam immediately notices and asks about it. His brother simply replies that it's Valentine's Day. The next scene shows a man and woman kissing when she suddenly looks shocked. Sam shows Dean a news report about the woman and apparently "her heart was ripped out."

Now that they are on the hunt, Dean asks how they will kill it. Sam brandishes a knife they can use. Various scenes show the first victim, a man also being attacked, Dean trying to stab someone with the knife and Sam being thrown against the wall. The clip ends with Dean shooting at someone and a woman screaming.

Loyal viewers know that the brothers are not involved with anyone right now, but Dean's hickey will surely get fans curious as to whether the older Winchester has a new girlfriend.

"Supernatural" season 11's Valentine's Day episode will be aired on Feb. 10.
