'Teen Wolf' season 6 plot spoilers: The pack is back

(Facebook / Teen Wolf)Actors Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien are best friends in "Teen Wolf" and are good friends as well in real life.

Season 5 has been a trying time for Scott as friendships were put to test and his mentor Derek was not around to guide him. The finale ended on a happy note, and the tie that binds the pack is stronger moving forward to season 6.

TV Guide sat with series creator Jeff Davis who said that the different conflicts that occurred in the previous season were meant to strengthen the bond. He said, "For us, we wanted to take them to the lowest point. We wanted to figure out what would happen to this group of friends if they broke up and all went their separate ways."

The kind of friendship Scott and Stiles share has been one of the series' strongest story arcs. Aside from the banter between the friends, their unending support is one that viewers have fallen in love with more than the love stories within the series itself.

It looks like fans of the show will be getting more of Scott-Stiles moment again in the upcoming season. Davis said, "One of the things that we're really trying to do with season 6 is show the strength of friendships and test that again. We're taking it back to the story of Scott and Stiles' friendship and how meaningful that is."

Viewers won't be seeing that in the premiere, though, as Davis revealed that the long-standing relationship between Stiles and Lydia will be the focal point of the first episode. He said, "Lydia's feelings for Stiles becomes a big focus of the season, actually. It will make some people furious and some people happy, so we'll see."

In another interview, this time with Tv Line, Davis said, "Something big happens in the very first episode of season 6 between Stiles and Lydia, which you'll have to tune in to see."

MTV is yet to announce the premiere date for "Teen Wolf" season 6.
