Die-hard fanatics of The CW's hit post-apocalyptic drama TV series "The 100" season 3 were shocked to witness the tragic death of Lexa in episode 7 "Thirteen." However, the latest leaks suggest that Alycia Debnam-Carey's character might still return in the current season.

Surely, followers of the series were somehow expecting that anytime soon, Carey will make her departure given her commitment to AMC's hit show "Fear the Walking Dead."

In an interview, series executive Jason Rothenberg told TVLine that he will keep the door open for Carey's chieftain to return at some point this season.

And indeed, the latest insider reports from Spoiler TV did all suggest that Rothenberg is true to his words.

The media outlet pointed out a series of images showing Clarke caught in a place and time that are quite different from what the show has already established.

The site states that at some point, Lexa will arrive to save Clarke as "men in modern clothes chase them." The heroine is seen wearing her season 2 outfit, "which suggests something strange is going on."

Could it probably be that Clarke has traveled back in the time long before the post-apocalyptic era? Speculations, meanwhile, indicated that this could all have taken place inside the protagonist's head as she takes one of Jaha's Lighties.

In the meantime, season 3 is slated to return this week with a brand-new episode titled "Terms and Conditions." The synopsis shared over at The Futon Critic teases that Kane (Henry Ian Cusick) may be forced to use some drastic measures given how things have currently been going.

"Kane is searching for a peaceful way to handle things but soon realizes he may be forced to resort to drastic measures. Meanwhile, Pike (guest star Michael Beach) suspects that there may be a leak within the walls of Arkadia. Lastly, Raven (Lindsey Morgan) has a plan and reaches out to Jasper (Devon Bostick) for help," the The Futon Critic summary reads.

"The 100" season 3 episode 8 premieres this Thursday, Mar. 10 at 9 p.m. on The CW.
