'The Affair' season 3 spoilers: Guy Burnet has a role in new season

The premiere date for the third season of "The Affair" has been announced, and viewers should prepare for the twists and turns that the show will offer once again. The upcoming season will also welcome another recurring character to the show.
The actor who has been recently added to the cast for the new season of "The Affair" is Guy Burnet. As stated in Deadline, he will play the character named Mike Cornwall. He is described as a graduate student who is also a womanizer around campus. He will meet one of the main characters of the show, Noah Solloway, played by Dominic West.
It is still unknown how much of an impact Mike will have to the upcoming season. Furthermore, Burnet has a lot of projects that he is working on. He is part of one of Amazon's original series, "Hand of God," and he also has a role in Showtime's "Ray Donovan." The actor will also be part of the remake of "Jacob's Ladder" which was first shown in 1990.
Yahoo spoke to actress Maura Tierney, who plays Helen Solloway in the television series. She was able to give some details regarding how the third season will start. Tierney stated that three years have passed after the events that occurred in season two and the main characters have already gone their separate ways.
Tierney mentions her character in the interview: "She's with Vic, Dr. Ullah [Omar Metwally]. They have an interesting relationship that is clear, but unclear at the beginning of the season. Everyone has moved on in a way. All of the characters are in a different place."
Helen's ex-husband, Noah, has also found another romantic interest. However, Tierney said that her character is still having a hard time controlling her emotions for Noah. In a way, Helen still loves him, but it is turning into an obsession since she still wants him back.
The release date for the third season of "The Affair" will be on November 20, 2016 on Showtime.
