'The Blacklist' season 4 episode 5 spoilers: Will Kirk fall into Red's trap?

(Facebook/NBCBlacklist)Red is close to capturing Kirk in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist."

The net is closing in on Alexander Kirk (Ulrich Thomsen) in the upcoming episode of "The Blacklist." Will Red (James Spader) finally succeed in trapping him?

Last episode, Red managed to track down the hematologist who has been treating Kirk's rare blood disorder. It has been revealed that Kirk is keeping Agnes because the baby's blood, and ultimately her mother's, can save his life.

Liz (Megan Boone) is going out of her mind with worry because they still cannot find her daughter. Tom (Ryan Eggold) destroyed their only chance of finding Agnes when he tried to trace where the video feed of the baby was coming from. Kirk discovered Tom was snooping and cut off the connection with Liz.

With Liz's plan shattered, the only option left is for Red to find where Kirk has been hiding. He has already talked to the other man's doctor.

In the episode titled "The Lindquist Concern," the synopsis (as per CarterMatt) reveals that Red will be waiting for Kirk at the clinic when he goes in for his checkup. It is the perfect opportunity to nab Kirk, but the promo shows that something very wrong will happen with the plan. In the clip, Liz can be seen feverishly trying to contact Red. When she is able to connect with someone, she yells that Kirk has set up his own trap. Right at that moment, a car explodes while Red and the others scamper to avoid the blast.

Meanwhile, the teaser also provided a glimpse of an agitated Red looking at Liz. She has in her hands some papers. When Red asks what they are, Liz says they're DNA reports. Liz is finally ready to confront her mentor about the truth. In the clip, she is asking him why he lied when he said she killed her father. Red can only stay silent about the accusation. Will he get the courage to tell Liz the truth?

"The Blacklist" season 4 episode 5 airs Thursday, Oct. 20 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
