Over a decade after "The Incredibles" took over theaters in great Pixar fashion, the highly anticipated sequel has finally been confirmed and is well underway. Though there is no official word regarding the plot yet, it is speculated that Jack-Jack's true strengths and powers will be unveiled.

Being the youngest in the Parr clan, it was only reasonable that Jack-Jack wasn't able to show off his skills early on in the first installment. However, by the end of the movie, it was revealed that the young boy has the ability to transform into any form that he wants. Not much is known about what other powers he has but it is expected that "The Incredibles 2" will depict him as someone who can potentially be stronger than any of his family members.

If this happens, it could pose a potential threat to the Parrs, especially if Jack-Jack isn't guided to making the right decisions that will protect everybody in his family and community. Since he is still young, he has the tendency to make the wrong decisions or choose the wrong side.

While Jack-Jack's strengths and powers will serve his family's causes of heroism well, he will need proper guidance so he won't use the abilities he has in the wrong way, which could harm others.

Meanwhile, director Brad Bird recently revealed that things are doing well with the script. Though he did not give anything out regarding the plot for "The Incredibles 2," fans may be getting closer to an earlier release date instead of the initial June 2019 launch.

Speaking with Collider, Bird said: "I have the story arc. I'm probably three-quarters through the script, first pass through the script, but we're already boarding parts of it." Since there are already good developments behind the scenes, could this mean that the sequel can be ready sometime 2018?

For now, fans should wait for official announcements on the release of "The Incredibles 2" and if plans for the June 21, 2019 air date will push through.
