'The Last Ship' season 4 spoilers: Greek tycoon to cause problems for the Americans?

(Facebook/TheLastShipTNT)An ultra-rich tycoon will be introduced in the next season of "The Last Ship."

New faces will be introduced in the upcoming season of "The Last Ship." While most of them appear to bear nothing but goodwill, there will be some who may end up causing problems for the Navy and the Americans in the TNT series.

As per the promo, the fans will have a long wait for the new episodes to air. The show is slated to return next year, but TNT has yet to reveal an exact date. In the clip, the crew of the USS Nathan James will once again take on new missions to ensure that humanity will not disappear off the face of the Earth. After surviving the last apocalypse, it has been teased that a new form of Armageddon will once again threaten to wipe out humans.

Mike Slattery (Adam Baldwin) is expected to take over Tom Chandler's (Eric Dane) position at the helm. The captain submitted his resignation letter during the third season's finale. It remains to be seen what his plans are for the future, but rumors claim he will not return to the USS Nathan James until season 5.

The Navy is set to meet interesting characters who may or may not help in securing humanity's chances of surviving. Previously, it was revealed that Jonathan Howard would play the role of James Fletcher, a James Bond-type agent from the MI6 and the British Royal Navy.

Meanwhile, as per TVLine, TNT has tapped Jackson Rathbone to play the role of a Greek-American playboy named Giorgio in the new installment. Rolling with money and power, Giorgio has claimed the Mediterranean as his very own playground. From the character's description, it is not presumptuous to claim that he would be a major headache for the Navy when their paths crossed. Slattery will have to exercise a lot of control to prevent a major battle between his men and the tycoon's crew.

"The Last Ship" season 4 is expected to start airing in 2017.
