Video game developer Capcom will officially launch a digital version of its crossover fighting video game "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3" to the Xbox One and Windows PC platforms through Steam on March 7. A limited edition physical version of the game will also be released for PlayStation4 (PS4) and Xbox One.
The digital version will cost $24.99, while the physical version can be purchased for $29.99. The physical release will include an updated cover art and an exclusive comic book featuring original art from Marvel artists Sean Chen and Gerardo Sandoval.
The game will include old and new characters from both Marvel and Capcom sides. Among the "old" characters from the Marvel side are Captain America, Spider-Man, and Wolverine. Jill Valentine, Mike Haggar, and Tron Bonne are some of the mainstays from the Capcom side.
The new characters and their profiles include martial artist Daniel "Danny" Thomas Rand-Kai, who gained the title Iron Fist when he defeated the dragon called Shou-Lao the Undying. Iron Fist is a hand-to-hand combat expert who specializes in close combat. Nemesis is a rocket launcher-wielding character with monster-like super strength and improved stamina gained from the Nemesis parasite.
An interplanetary explorer Rocket Raccoon is a raccoon from the planet Halfworld; it has the same speed and senses of the raccoon in planet Earth. His main weapons are the rocket skates that allow him to travel short distances and a laser pistol. Doctor Strange (real name: Stephen Vincent Strange) is among the most powerful sorcerers alive. His powers include astral manipulation, teleportation, illusions, and astral projections.
Firebrand is among the elite warriors of the Red Arremer gargoyle community in the Demon Village. He can spit fireballs from his mouth, as well as fly (hover) and cling to walls (Hell Climb). Ghost Rider (real name: Jonathan "Johnny" Blaze) can manipulate an enchanted chain that can transform into other weapons.
These are just few of the new characters that gamers can play starting early March.
