'Walking Dead' season 5 spoilers: Daryl's downward spiral after Beth's death, Morgan's entry

(AMC TV)

AMC's "The Walking Dead" is arguably one of the best TV series to hit the small screen. Rick Grimes and his troupe of followers are having a very difficult time surviving, as is evident in season five.

Admirers of the show witnessed the untimely death of Beth Greene (Emily Kinney) just when viewers of the show were warming up to the once vulnerable character. Many websites had speculated her death previously, but some rumored that the blonde girl may actually survive and make it. Celebdirty Laundry reports that fans can expect more gruesome deaths and shocking twists in the episodes to come this February 2015.

The last episode titled "Coda" also depicted the death of likable character Bob, who was bitten by the walkers. The particularly gloomy tale of his death follows his capture by the former Terminus gang, who amputated his leg in order to consume the flesh as food for the members. The joke was on them as Bob was already bitten, hence they essentially devoured infected meat sealing their fate as future walkers.

Metro also highlights the refreshing tale of Carol's character who underwent a significant alteration in her personality since season one. The formerly abused wife has now turned into a hardened woman, taking down terminus in a master stroke and smearing herself in zombie guts without flinching. Carol has truly come a long way. Meanwhile, Eugene's big fat lie of being able to reverse the infection by concocting a cure has left Abraham speechless. Whether he recovers completely from this catastrophic revelation cannot be foretold.

Daryl's (Norman Reddus) downward spiral continues following Beth's death. His depression could further harden his character. Morgan's entry is also seen in the upcoming season. Admirers of the show may want to see what role he will play in the group.

Celebdirty Laundry cites that the group could possibly go to a safe place in Washington, D.C., as seen in the comic books. The possible death of Glenn (Steven Yeun) might happen if a character called "Neegan" is introduced.
