Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 release date, specs, features news: device not coming with a Snapdragon variant?

Following the announcement that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will arrive soon, a new report says it won't come with a Snapdragon variant, which is sad news for those who have been expecting otherwise.
According to GSM Arena, prominent Chinese analyst Pan Jiutang dropped the news and it has started to make rounds online since Pan is known for his predictions that are mostly accurate. If this happens though, there will be a lot of fans who might not be very interested in the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 since those who purchased its predecessor were very pleased when a Snapdragon 650 variant was announced for the Redmi Note 3.
On the other hand, Xiaomi has not responded to the reports yet and fans are advised to stick with official news for now to avoid frustration in case any expectations are failed once the device rolls out.
Meanwhile, potential buyers are in for a whole new experience with the Redmi Note 4 as it will come with 5.5-inch display that supports a 1920 x 1080 resolution - good enough to stand against other similar devices in the market today. It will also feature a front camera of 5 megapixels and a rear camera of 13 megapixels. The back camera's pixel ability is quite amazing and is a great feature for consumers who want to turn their devices into instant cameras.
As officially announced, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will sport two variants: one with 64 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM, and the other with 16 GB of internal storage and 3 GB of RAM. The latter is tagged as the base version while the former is called the high-end variant.
As for the Note 4's launch in India, details are very scarce despite many Indian consumers expressing interest in the next generation Redmi Note device. India Today points out that the Chinese tech giant is banned from selling MediaTek-based devices in India and the case is still being heard in court, thus putting a potential break on plans, if there are any, to roll out the Note 4 in the country.
